On October 17, 2024 Amy Hanacek had a Support Our Schools event located in Dana Point California. Amy is running for re-election in the Capistrano Unified School Board. Among those to participate was Congressman Mike Levin D-49TH District and Comedian Rita Rudner who is a community leader. Anthony Small provided the music for the event alongside Matt Samia.

A message from Amy.
"I am running for re-election to the Capistrano Unified School Board because our students, families, and taxpayers deserve experienced leadership dedicated to a top tier preK-12 public education that optimizes opportunities for each student, fosters engaged citizens, and builds a skilled workforce for tomorrow.
As an involved parent of two CUSD graduates, I witnessed firsthand the positive impact a quality public education offered my sons, their fellow students, and our communities' common good.
As a School Board Trustee, I care deeply about every child and have a proven record of focusing on the needs of all students while conserving and carefully spending our precious resources. I listen to parents and have fought against external challenges and difficulties that continue to threaten the success of our students, schools, and the health of our communities.
As a small business owner, I understand the importance of sound budgeting and prudent fiscal policies and despite the fiscal challenges created by Sacramento, I will continue to work to provide our children with the maximum educational opportunities so that they may successfully pursue their college and career goals.
Although we live in challenging times, our children deserve what we enjoyed - quality preK-12 public education that provides unlimited opportunities to excel in a supportive stable environment. I will do my best to continue to foster an environment of excellence in all areas of public education and remain committed to our children so that they may become the leaders, innovators, and good neighbors our communities expect."

The election is filled with competition and is scheduled to take place November 5, 2024 . The main message of the day from the congressman and Amy was to get out and vote! The statistics of local voters comes in around 10-15 percent of the community. There is a need for the community to get out and be apart of this years election to insure your voice is heard.
